Bankruptcy in Other Countries

Since many Canadian companies have subsidiaries in other countries around the world, it may happen that a subsidiary firm becomes insolvent. It is likely that bankruptcy laws in other countries will differ from those in effect in Canada.

Fortunately, the Internet provides many sources of information that may be useful to Canadian managers who do business internationally.
